Recycling Laws Are Changing on 31st March 2025

Businesses with 10+ employees will be required to separate recyclables and food waste from general waste. This is part of the Environment Act 2021, designed to reduce landfill usage and increase recycling rates. Act now to ensure compliance and avoid penalties.

What Types of Waste Need to be Seperated?

From March 31st, businesses must separate dry recyclable materials (glass, metal, plastic, paper, and cardboard) and food waste from general waste. Food waste disposal equipment like macerators and enzyme digesters will be excluded.
