Beeswift is a manufacturer and wholesaler of Personal Protective Equipment/Clothing and workwear safety products encompassing a wide range of safety products and high quality workwear. Our 144,000 sqft Birmingham based HQ and Distribution Centre (NDC) has significant stockholding, serving the UK, Ireland and International territories along with an in-house embroidery and badging facility. As a responsible purchaser/manufacturer we audit our production facilities at home and abroad using our internal department who have completed International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) approved courses in ISO9001, lead auditor and Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA). To help with our global compliance challenges and carbon footprint we also use external auditors who are IRCA accredited and have staffed offices all over the world. All Auditors are dedicated to ensure that consistent compliance processes are carried out to firstly meet legislation and secondly to meet the requirements of Beeswift’s company values, quality and ethical standards. After a partner production facility is audited in accordance with SMETA, we address any potential problems proactively and work with our partner production facilities to resolve these. This is done using Corrective Action Plans (CAP) . We set dates to complete any CAP objectives, then these objectives are verified with either a follow up audit or a desktop verification, that can include images, video or training plans implemented where necessary. To support our European and Global account base and Partners, Beeswift operates a European Distribution Centre (EDC), based in the Netherlands. Our EDC not only operates on the same platform with a stock profile mirroring that of our NDC, it also forms part of our disaster recovery and contingency plans.
